Hair-Up
Wearing hair up doesn't have to be big, bold and fussy. I would say it is more about how it makes us feel when we have a reason to make that little extra effort, but we still want to feel like our selves. These looks do precisely that; they look good year after year and perfect for an effortlessly stylish look.
Simone Rocha
Hair by: James pecis
The Simone Rocha look will always be in my inspiration files. The look is a beautiful way to wear your hair up and still feel comfortable, as the looseness prevents it from feeling harsh on the face and maintains softness. The Knotting technique used at the back gives it a delicate maturity while keeping a modern look.
Chanel
Hair by: Sam McKnight
If in doubt, the Top Knot is everyone's faithful. How do we keep it current and stylish? Well, if anyone knows it is Chanel and Sam McKnight. Apply the majority of your product before creating the look so you can keep a matt finish to the look. The key is to keep the hair on the top of the head textured and separated and leave the ends loose. Use Hair grips to the separate and hold the separation in place.

The 60's will forever be an inspiration for wearing hair up. Hight at the crown is a comfortable way to inject a subtle glamour into a hair up look.
A little Something
Hair accessories are a key trend. They are great to add to your hair to dress up your usual look for a comfortable and elegant look. You will see inspiration on how to wear accessories throughout this mood board in many different ways. The best way to wear hair accessories is to keep your hairstyle simple and dress it up with an accessory.
Pearls worn in an understated way.
Place the pearl accessories at the back, towards the nape for subtle elegance.
To re-create the looks above, I have chosen and linked some of my favourite Pearl Bobby Pins. You need bobby pins with the pearls at the top of the grip so that you can slide the grip in vertically.
Jennifer Behr is my absolute favourite for hair accessories. They have the most beautiful pieces of hair accessories. They are definitely an investment piece.
I found these on Not on the High Street. This set has a lower price point. The grip is a matte texture which will ensure a good blend into the hair.
For a mid-range price point, I found these on cult beauty. I chose these because the pearl is set on Rose Gold and the length of the grip is not too long which is excellent for Mid-Length hair.
It's not just a Low Pony Tail.
Don't underestimate how good a low Pony Tail will look with a dressed up outfit. There are so many options on how you can style the hair at the front to suit you, e.g., side partings and middle partings. For softness leave a few strands loose around the temple area, or wholly tied back off the face for a stronger look.
Syd Pin and Cuff, I can't wait to try this hair accessory. I think the simplicity and on-trend colours gives classic looks a very nice edge and I'm sure a great saviour for days when you don't know what to do with your hair.
I would also use Bobby Pins for this look, with different tips like stars.
This look is easily achieved with the ribbon of different textures and colours. I like to go to haberdasheries for the best value ribbon and the most choice. Building a small collection of colours and textures will always give you options to outfit match throughout the year, also a fantastic look for bad hair days. My one tip would be to choose a narrow ribbon.
The Blow Dry Is Back
Smooth Defined Waves. A perfect trend for a sophisticated event or the festive season. The look is worn with subtle volume as this is how to keep the look current.
Style Ideas for Mid-Length hair
The Bob and Mid-Length hair have been the most significant trend for the last 2 yrs, so the style ideas for when you want to dress up are endless. I have chosen images that show ideas on different textures and movement. All the above images are also able to be worn on Mid-Length hair as well.
